Jean M. Trampe

Jean M. Trampe, age 74 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at her residence. She was born December 20, 1940, in Saint Louis, MO, the daughter of Victor and Marie (nee Schmidt) Schwarzenbach. On June 30, 1962, she married Wayne A. Trampe who survives. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Highland, IL. Jean was born and reared in St. Louis; graduate of Lutheran High School Central 1958. Attended St. Paul’s College at Concordia, MO. She taught 1st and 2nd Grade in Lutheran Schools. Prior to rearing her children, she worked as a secretary and Accounts Payable Clerk at Basler Electric. She and her Husband owned Wayne’s Place Inc. in Highland. She helped her husband with alterations and book keeping and sales. She loved spending time with the Grandchildren. She enjoyed biking, hiking, gardening, special Olympics, piano music, reading, traveling, camping and swimming. Survivors include : Husband – Wayne A. Trampe, Highland, IL Son – Eric W. Trampe, Highland, IL Daughter – Kelly J. (Roger) Hartmann, Highland, IL Grandchild – Patrick K.C. Hartmann, Highland, IL Grandchild – Samantha D. Hartmann, Highland, IL Grandchild – Marcella M. Hartmann, Highland, IL Sister – Barbara Epp, Grand Island, NE Sister In-law – Laverne (Duane) Meyer, Hamel, IL Brother In-law – Vernon L. (Judy) Trampe, Collinsville, IL She was preceded in death by : Father – Victor Schwarzenbach Mother – Marie Schwarzenbach, nee Schmidt Brother In-law – Alvin H. Trampe Brother In-law – Leland Trampe Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Hope Lutheran Church in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Hope Lutheran Church in Highland, IL, with Rev. Leonard Laetsch officiating. Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Link (Breese); Hope Lutheran Church; Bethesda Lutheran Communities.
