Anna K. Reising, age 94 of Hamel, IL, died Saturday, December 06, 2014, at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, IL. She was born on Tuesday, November 23, 1920, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of Fred and Anna (nee Strohmeier) Rode. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Hamel, IL; St. Paul Ladies Aid; Home Extension (Hamel Unit). Anna was born at Pin Oak Township and grew up in Hamel Township. She had lived in Hamel, Staunton, Worden and again in Hamel. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and enjoyed cooking, quilting and reading the newspaper. Great Grandchildren – Thirty five . She was preceded in death by: Father – Fred Rode Mother – Anna — Rode nee Strohmeier First Husband – Earl Gusewelle married – 6/15/1940 died- 6/21/1947 Second Husband – Herman W. Reising married – 8/10/1951 died – 8/5/1975 Son – Kenneth Reising Son – Dale Reising Son – Neal Reising Son – Kenneth “Goose” Gusewelle Daughter – Doris “Jeannie” Brunnworth Grandchildren – Two . Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 12, 2014, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL., with Rev. Benjamin Ball, Pastor, officiating.
