He was born on Thursday, July 14, 1960, in Highland, IL, the son of Oscar and Julia M. (nee Bernaix) Gonzalez. On Friday, May 15, 1992, he married Marcia L. Gonzalez (nee Zampogna) who survives. He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL; Knights of Columbus Council #1580, Highland, IL; Parents and Friends of Mater Dei High School, Breese, IL; Parents and Friends of St. Louis University. Born and raised in Highland, IL; graduated from Highland High School in 1978. Attended SIU; worked in Atlanta, GA; was a Dispatcher for the City of Highland; worked for Lettie’s Daylee Gas Station; Country Companies Insurance Agent in Greenville, IL. He enjoyed golfing, barbecuing, reading, programming and networking online with his computer. He dedicated years to being available for those in crises. He was a proud father and husband. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, with Rev. Fr. Charles A. Edwards, Pastor, officiating.
