Adolph W. “Brum” Brunnworth

Adolph W. “Brum” Brunnworth, age 83 of Hamel, IL, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, IL. He was born October 29, 1931, in Alhambra, IL, the son of William and Sophie (nee Steinmann) Brunnworth. On September 26, 1954, he married Marlene Ann Meyer who passed away August 14, 2010. He was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. He was also a former member of Hamel Township Board. Brum was born in Alhambra. He had worked as a Laborer and drove a truck much of his working career. He retired from Klueter Brothers Concrete Products in 1993 after 21 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family. In his later years he enjoyed getting out for fresh air and taking a drive. Survivors include : Daughter – Debra S. (Ed) Kasten, Godfrey, IL Daughter – Lynn M. (John) Poletti, Hamel, IL Daughter – Judy L. (Jim) DeVries, Staunton, IL Son – Tim A. (Linda) Brunnworth, Hamel, IL Grandchild – Cory Kasten Grandchild – Matthew Kasten Grandchild – Allison Poletti Grandchild – Sara Poletti Grandchild – Jacklyn (Eric) Dunnavent Grandchild – Jodene DeVries Grandchild – Aaron Brunnworth Grandchild – Rachel Brunnworth Grandchild – Nicholas Brunnworth Brother In-law & Sister In-law – Duane (LaVerne) Meyer, Edwardsville, IL He was preceded in death by : Father – William O. Brunnworth, Hamel, IL Mother – Sophie Ann (nee Steinmann) Brunnworth Wife – Marlene Ann (nee Meyer) Brunnworth died 8/14/2012 Daughter – Sharon A Brunnworth died 4/16/1971 Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel, IL. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL, with Rev. Benjamin Ball, officiating. Interment will be at Saint Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church .
