Bernice Coyle, age 85 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, December 03, 2014, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born December 15, 1928, in East Saint Louis, IL, the daughter of Cleveland and Flossie (nee Frost) Tatum. On August 16, 1947, she married James J. Anton who passed away on November 19, 1977. She later Melvin L. Coyle in 1991 and he passed away September 21, 2009. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a volunteer for Saint Joseph Hospital Auxilliary. Bernice had many hobbies. She loved her pet birds, and loved to paint pictures. She traveled to Branson and Florida yearly, and enjoyed going to the Casino. She liked to sew and crochet and loved spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. Survivors include : Daughter – Judith A. Anton, Saint Louis, MO Daughter – Linda S. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 05, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, on Saturday, December 06, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 06, 2014, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, with Father Scott A. Snider officiating. Private interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
