Eldon Ambuehl, age 74 of Phoenix, AZ, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at All Roses Group Home in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on Saturday, November 25, 1939, in Wright City, MO, the son of Elmer Benjamin and Alvina L. (nee Auer) Ambuehl. On Saturday, December 30, 1967, he married Deanna Lea Ambuehl who passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2001. Mr. Ambuehl graduated from the Wright City High School, Wright City, MO. He was a network engineer for GTE. He later moved to El Mirage, AZ and Phoenix, AZ. Survivors include: Half Brother – Leland D. (Venka) Ambuehl, Granite City, IL He was preceded in death by: Wife – Deanna Lea Ambuehl (Died 7/25/2001) Father – Elmer B. Ambuehl Mother – Alvina L. (Auer) Ambuehl Mother-in-law – Velma Ambuehl Hitz, Highland, IL (Died 4/9/2013) Half Brother – Lester E. Ambuehl Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Grantfork United Church of Christ Cemetery, Grantfork, IL. Interment will be at Grantfork United Church of Christ Cemetery in Grantfork, IL.
