Gay Ann Rench, age 60 of Highland, IL, died Friday, April 18, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville, IL. She was born July 19, 1953, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Lloyd Henry and Norma Geraline (nee Neumann) Marcoot. On March 30, 1985, she married Bradley Scott Rench who survives. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Retired Teachers of Bond County, IL; Evangelical United Church of Christ Mission Board . Gay was born in Highland; grew up on the family farm at Pleasant Mound, IL. She graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1971. She received her BS and MS Ed from SIU-E. She started teaching at Mulberry Grove in the fall of 1975; taught for 33 years; retiring in 2009. She enjoyed time with friends, family, at church, shopping, exercising and traveling to Florida. (Tony) Ringering, Red Bud, IL Sister In-law – Liz (Mark) Bush, Saint Peters, MO Sister In-law – Julie (Karl) Krauskopf, Frisco, TX She was preceded in death by : Father – Lloyd H. Marcoot Mother – Norma G. Marcoot nee Neumann Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, IL, with Rev. Christopher W. Hill officiating. Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois Evangelical United Church of Christ.
